The Peruvudaiyaar Nrithyanjali Dance Festival is a festival dedicated to Lord Nataraj, the dancing manifestation of Lord Shiva this event is an entire celebration of Dance, organized by Kalalaya Foundation. The Nrithyanjali Dance festival has dancers coming from all over the world to present their talent and to offer their dance to Lord Nataraj. All dancers dressed in traditional attire that reflect the rich and diverse culture of India through their dances. Thajavur Brahadeeswara Temple is the site of Peruvudaiyaar Nrithyanjali – an annual dance festival organised around the month of feb every year, during the Hindu festival of Maha Sivratri .Major classical Indian dance artists, as well as regional teams, perform their repertoire at this awe-inspiring dance festival Peruvudaiyaar Nrithyanjali over 3 days.The Peruvudaiyaar Nrithyanjali Dance Festival is a grand celebration of culture and divinity which invokes the Almighty Lord Peruvudaiyaar (Lord Shiva) of Hinduism. The dance festival brings together classical Indian dancers from all parts of the India. Over the course of10 days days, the Peruvudaiyaar Nrithyanjali dance festival features major classical Indian dance performers as well as local teams performing various art forms, including Bharatanatiyam, Kuchipudi, Mohini Aattam, Kathak, Folk arts and much more.
